Snowy day

February 11th, 2005 at 06:17 pm

Not too much going on in frugal land. I did buy a cup of coffee yesterday because I was stressed out of my mind at work, and needed a break.

Last night I wrote a complaint letter to a soup company, and I mailed it out this morning.

I haven't been able to get a parking spot the last 4 days at the train station, which means I didn't have to pay for them. This also means that I'm in danger of getting a ticket, getting towed or getting hit by a car in the lot because I'm not in a real spot.
I'm afraid!
I decided not to take the train any longer. I canceled my pass. I'll save $5 each month plus at least $30 in gas savings since I can pick up the bus a few miles away versus the train which is a few towns away.
The bummer is that I have to wait until April unless I can sell my March pass to someone.

We've had all meals at home this week. wahoo! Hubby got a free lunch and one hour of overtime for a lunch training session. I'm glad - it keeps his morale up.

I'm going to try shoe shopping at winter clearance sales this weekend. I've been wearing my good pair through - I need more variety or I'll just keep wearing out my one pair over and over in a vicious cycle.
